- How much does Tribute cost for donations?
Tribute charges a flat 10% commission on all transactions, donations included. There are no setup, monthly, or hidden fees. You keep 90% of every donation you receive.
- Can I use Tribute as a virtual tip jar?
Yes. Donations let your audience send you one-time voluntary contributions in appreciation of your content, which works exactly like a tip jar. You publish a donation button in your channel, add a name and short description, and supporters can chip in any amount you allow.
- Do my donors need a Tribute account to contribute?
No. Tribute is a verified service built natively into Telegram, so donors contribute through the @Tribute bot inside the Telegram app they already use. There’s no separate account, app, or external website to sign up for.
- What payment methods can my donors use?
Donors can pay with cards from any bank and country, as well as with cryptocurrency (USDT, BTC, TON). Everything happens inside Telegram, with no redirect to external platforms.
- Can I set up a donation goal for a specific project?
Yes. You can create a Goal to raise money toward a specific target, like funding a project or piece of content. Supporters can see progress toward the goal, which adds a clear reason to contribute.
- How do recurring donations work?
Alongside one-time tips, you can set up regular donations, where supporters commit to contributing on an ongoing basis rather than once. The bot handles the repeat payments automatically, so recurring supporters keep backing you without having to send each donation manually.
- Can a donor stay anonymous?
Yes. When making a donation, the supporter can select the amount and payment method and then enable the “Send Anonymously” option. They can also add a short comment along with the donation if they’d like.
- How do I get paid?
During setup you fill in your payment details, select your country, and choose how you’d like to get paid, either to a bank card or a crypto wallet. Payouts are sent twice a month, on the 10th and 25th (or the next working day). The minimum payout to a bank card is 100 Euros; if you don’t reach it, the balance carries over to the next payout date. Once you reach the threshold, you can also request a payout manually from your Creator Dashboard.
- Is Tribute available in my country?
Almost certainly. Tribute accepts payments from supporters in over 190 countries and supports creators across 100+ countries, with no restrictions on where payments can be made. You select your country during setup, which determines your available payout options.
